1) Ovente FDM1091BR Mini Deep Fryer

The Ovente FDM1091BR is literally a mini-deep fryer that offers a lot of really good features found in more expensive deep fryers, but simply at a miniature size. Because this deep fryer can only hold up to .9 L or 30 ounces, it's best to cook smaller sides such as fries, tater tots, and onion rings for 1-2 people. It's not ideal for cooking larger items such as corn dogs, chicken legs, and others.

Pros

  • One of the cheapest options available
  • Great for 1-2 people households
  • Great for deep frying small side foods
  • Non-Stick Interior
  • Removable Basket for an Easier Clean

Cons

  • Poor for larger foods
  • Only Holds .9 L
  • Too small for larger groups
  • Removable basket does not have a lip in it, making it a bit harder to pour out oil

Conclusion:

This deep fryer has one of the smallest markets of buyers simply due to its small size and inability to even fry larger foods. However, there are a lot of people out there that simply want to deep fry some fries every now and then. This would be a mini-fryer for just that.

2) Hamilton Beach (35021) Deep Fryer

This Hamilton Beach deep fryer, model 35021 represents our cheap option for a small 1.9 L capacity deep fryer that offers cool touch exterior sides for added safety. Even though it's much bigger than the Ovente Mini model we just showed, it's still relatively small in deep fryer terms. This is another model that would be ideal for one or two people. Features included in this model are a lid to cover the food, a basket, cool-touch sides, adjustable thermostat, and detachable parts for an easier clean.

  • Cool Touch Exterior
  • Ability to lift basket above oil while keeping the lid on, for an easy and safe drain
  • Perfect for a small households
  • Great for deep frying smaller sides, such as fries or onion rings
  • Removable parts for an easier clean

Cons

  • 1.9 liters may still be too small for some buyers

3) Presto 05411 GranPappy Electric Deep Fryer

The Presto 05411 GranPappy Deep Fryer was made back in the early 2000's, yet it still sells well today. Why is that? Well part of it i'm sure is its name recognition. The other part is it's cheap, simple, and easy to use. Overall, it's not the deep fryer I'd choose for myself, but I can't ignore its popularity among other deep fryer users. It's still relatively small in size, but instead of using a basket, it uses a scoop, allowing you to fully utilize it's size. Also, its lid is made out of plastic, so its use is limited to storage, meaning while you fry, you'll have an open top. This sounds worse than it is, because if you're not going above the recommended fill line, then your oil isn't going to sizzle out of the pot.

Pros

  • Simple features create a simple cooking experience
  • Its simplicity reduces complications commonly found in many deep fryer models, creating a higher satisfaction rate among consumers.
  • Small footprint saves you a lot of room on your counters
  • Top carrying handle makes for easy transportation/storage

Cons

  • Lack of fry basket may make smaller pieces harder to fully grab with the scoop provided.
  • Short plug-in limits where you can place this appliance
  • You'll have to clean and filter the oil with your own tools

Conclusion:

This is classic deep fryer that still sells well today. Its simplicity allows for a solid foundation for a lot to go right, and not a long to go wrong. Some deep fryer models face problems because it has so many features and lack construction quality. These sorts of things lead to additional malfunctions. If you check out the Presto GranDaddy, you'll find a high satisfaction rate among several merchants that sell this item.

4) Aigostar Ken Deep Fryer - 3L

Notice how with each deep fryer we've shown, the size of the deep fryer has gone up, along with mixed prices and features. We'll continue that trend here. Now the Aigostar Ken Deep Fryer is relatively new to the market, especially compared to some fryers that have been around 15 years. That being said, it's one of the few decent sized models that offer decent features such as temperature setting/timer setting, offer a quality stainless design, and also offer detachable parts for an easy clean. They were able to do all that while still staying relatively low in price. We found this to be a bit of a quality find among deep fryers. Heck, this is also the most powerful deep fryer on our list at 1800 watts, a power usually found in profession graded larger deep fryers.

Pros

  • Compromised of stainless steel pieces that are safe to cook with, look sleek, and are easy to clean down.
  • Comes in several detachable dishwasher-safe parts for an easy clean
  • At 1800 watts, it's the most powerful deep fryer on this list
  • Only deep fryer on this list that provides its own timer
  • 2 Year Manufacturer warranty. Not only is their warranty longer than most standard 1 year warranties, but their support team generally seem to care about their customer results.

Cons

  • A little more expensive than other deep fryers on this list
  • Still likely too small to cook for more than 4 people

Conclusion:

This is our Favorite deep fryer on this list because it offers a lot of the greatest features. It offers the biggest, most powerful deep fryer in our list. It also comes in stainless steel and is the only deep fryer with its own timer. It even offers a better warranty than the other deep fryers on this list.
